Hong Kong Schools Sailing Association  Tai Mei Tuk Regatta 2017  Notice to Competitors No. 2     The Sailing Instructions are amended as follows:     Delete SI 14 and replace with:  14. PENALTY SYSTEM  The Scoring Penalty, RRS 44.3, will not apply.    Add in SI 27  27 MANDATORY SIGN ON/OFF  All entrants shall sign on before leaving the shore and sign off as soon as practicable  after  returning  to  shore  at  the  completion  of  racing  on  both  days  of  the  Regatta,  failing  which  they  may  be  scored  a  DSQ  for  all  races  held  on  that  particular  day,  without a protest hearing.    Add in SI 28  28 PROTESTS AND REQUESTS FOR REDRESS  28.1 The protest time limit is 90 minutes after the last boat has finished the last race  of the day or the race committee signals no more racing today, whichever is later.  28.2 Protest forms are available at the race office. Protests and requests for redress  shall be delivered there within the appropriate time limit.  28.3 Notices will be posted no later than 30 minutes after the protest time limit to  inform  competitors  of  hearings  in  which  they  are  parties  or  named  as  witnesses.    Hearings  will  be  held  in  the  protest  room,  located  at  race  office,  beginning  at  the  time posted.  28.4 Breaches of SIs 21, 27 will not be grounds for a protest by a boat. This changes  RRS 60.1(a).    28.5 On  the  last  scheduled  day  of  racing  a  request  for  redress  based  on  a  protest  committee  decision  shall  be  delivered  no  later  than  30  minutes  after  the  decision  was posted. This changes RRS 62.2.    Issued by Race Committee  12 May 2017, 1230hrs
