Open Class Dairy Show – Sunday, 1 pm – Open Class has an option to bring their animal in on Sunday only, but the cattle must still be preregistered. Dairy cattle (all breeds) must be registered with their respective breed association to be eligible to show. Further, dairy animals must meet national show (respective breed) eligibility requirements. To clarify the above rule – the grading-up process or registry status or degree of purity must be such that the animal is eligible to show at the breed’s respective national show. ATTENTION DAIRY EXHIBITORS: By action of the Barron County Fair Board, all marketable milk obtained from cows milked in the parlor must be placed in the bulk tank. An exhibitor must use their own milking equipment, outside the parlor, if they wish to take the milk home. Milking Times: • Thursday: 3:00-9:30 pm • Friday and Saturday: 6:00-9:00 am; 11am-1:00 pm; and 3:00-9:00 pm • Sunday: 6:00-9:00 am and 3:00-6:00 pm Group Classes: 1. A dairy junior get of sire shall consist of 3 animals, which are the offspring of the same bull. All of these animals shall be under 2 years of age, and not more than one can be a bull. 2. A dairy senior get of sire shall consist of 3 animals, which are the offspring of one sire. All of these animals shall be 2 years of age or over. 3. In dairy get of sire, the name of the sire shall be designated by the exhibitor. The animals need not be owned by a single exhibitor. 4. A produce of dam shall consist of 2 animals, any age and any sex which are the produce of one cow. 5. A group of 3 best female cattle shall consist of 3 animals, any age, bred and owned by the exhibitor. 6. Exhibitor Herd consists of 5 animals, at least two under 2-years of age and two 2-years of age or th over. The 5 animal may fit into either age group. All animals must be owned by the exhibitor, with 3 animals bred by the exhibitor. 7. Stall space per animal (varies with total number entered). 2 ½ ft per calf; 4 ft per fall heifer calf and yearling; 5 ½ ft per cow
