The board will also interview the finalists a second time during their visit to the district and plans to discuss final candidate selection on Thursday evening after completing the interview process and reviewing stakeholder feedback. The board intends to vote on its selection of the next district leader on February 28, 2018. The successful candidate will succeed Superintendent Stan Mack II on July 1, 2018. In May 2017, Oshkosh Area School District Superintendent Stan Mack II announced his retirement, which will take place on June 30, 2018. This announcement is the culmination of a comprehensive search conducted by the board with the assistance of the search firm, Ray and Associates. The board evaluated 10 applicants, from a pool of 61, and interviewed seven before narrowing the search to the three finalists.
