Dear Parents:

The State of New Jersey has adopted the PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) assessments as its statewide assessment tool. This assessment replaces the NJASK in grades 3-8 and HSPA in high school. The exception will be that all 4th grade students are still required to be tested in the area of science on the NJASK. The PARCC assessment is computer based and is aligned to the Common Core State Standards. PARCC will assess students in the areas of Mathematics and English/Language Arts. Testing will occur only once during this school year. The PARCC testing days are as follows:

Fifth Grade  English Language Arts – April 18 – 20, 2017  Mathematics – May 2 – 5, 2017  Make-Up Dates – May 8 – 12, 2017 Fourth Grade  English Language Arts – April 17 – 20, 2017  Mathematics – May 2 – 5, 2017  Make-Up Dates – May 8 – 12, 2017 Third Grade  English Language Arts – May 8 – 10, 2017  Mathematics – May 11 – 16, 2017  Make-Up Dates – May 17 - 19
