PROCLAMATION NO. 161/1999 A PROCLAMATION TO RATIFY THE ETHIO-MALA YSIA TRADE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, an Agreement on Trade between the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Government of Malaysia was signed in Kuala Lumpur on the 2200 day of October, 1998; WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall enter into force when both contracting parties have signed the same and notified each other that all legal requirements for its entry into force have been fulfilled; WHEREAS, the House of Peoples' Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 4thday of March, 1999; NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 subArticles (I) and (12) of the Constitution, it is hereby proclaimed as follows: I. Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as "Ethio-Malaysia Trade Agreement Ratification Proclamation No. 161/1999." 2. Ratification of the Agreement The Ethio-Malaysia Agreement on Trade signed in Kuala Lumpur on the 2200day of Qctober, 1998 is ratitied.
