Quaker Sctlool A reunion of Quaker Rural School students from 1934-35 was held in the Cassville School cafeteria on Sunday afternoon May 24 at 1:30, with 16 of the former students attending. The teacher tha t year was E unice Holma n' Thomas ... or " Miss Eunice" as her students knew her . It was her first year of teaching and has been 52 years. Melvin Ridenour , one of her eighth grade pupils, planned the celebration and was able to locate 26 of the 40 members of the .school. Pa Fields had made the school pictures that year a nd copiesweremadefor each enrollee, with "Miss Eunice" asked to identify those a tten~ing by the picture. Black of Prineville, Oregon, brought mementos of 1934-35 to share with the group ineluding grade cards, certificates , memory book and group pictures. Letters were read from Clarence Moudy and Lula Nadine Ridenour Martin expressing appreciation fo r the good relationships and learning during tha t year. "Miss E unice " expressed her apprecia tion to the group for launching her on a 4O-year teaching career. She taught six years at Quaker and 34 years at Cassville.
