Charity – Unity – Fraternity – Patriotism Live your Faith!
Brothers, I hope you all had a wonderful and joyous Easter with your families. I was fortunate to have spent time with both my Italian and Irish sides (which means I ate twice as much too)! March was an extremely busy month. We welcomed 14 new brothers to our council who have given us all a renewed energy and focus. We look forward to them helping to make our council an even more dynamic organization as they bring their own special talents to us. Misgivings on March 12th was a very funny evening as about 50 brothers, spouses and friends were entertained by Father Patrick Aloysius Misgivings ( played by Dave Kane). Even our own Father Steve Rock was in attendance and gave the show “two thumbs up”! Our Communion Breakfast on Sunday March 13th was also a success as we hosted about 40 or so after 9 am mass at St. Agnes. Many thanks to Steve Kintigos for stepping up and cooking for the event, he did a great job (next year decafe only though Steve!!). On April 2nd Brothers Rich Coco and Paul Parisi our scheduled to take their next step in Knighthood when they attend the 4th Degree Ceremony in Marlborough. Congrats to both on their continued commitment to the guiding principles of the Knights. As we look forward to May we have our Awards Night aka “Old Timers Night” scheduled for May 17 th so we hope to see many of you there. In Christ, Tom Cappuccio, Grand Knight

A GOOD KNIGHT THOUGHT_________________________________________________________________ “HE HAS RISEN…HE HAS TRULY RISEN” I think everyone remembers US Airways Captain “Sully” Sullenberger” ditching his plane into the Hudson River off Manhattan miraculously saving all 155 passengers. But I particularly remember one passenger’s reply to a reporter about his experience. Standing there soaking wet and freezing cold, the passenger glowed, and with virtually uncontrollable excitement in his voice said: "I was alive BEFORE, but now I'm REALLY ALIVE.” We have just celebrated the Resurrection of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…the biggest event of human history. A truly Eternal life-saving event for us all! Jesus is truly risen from the dead. In Jesus, we see how much God loves us. In Jesus' new life, we see the new life God wants for each and every one of us. This day is so full of JOY for the Church that we celebrate it for 50 days. From Easter Sunday until the Day of Pentecost, we sing and say, "Alleluia! Christ is risen!" And yes, we were alive before, but reminded that we share in Christ’s Resurrection, we too are now REALLY ALIVE—and by the JOY we live out in our daily lives—evident to all we meet—we’ll be provided with an opportunity to spread that joy—God’s joy--simply put: TO EVANGELIZE. ________________________________________________________________DEACON NEIL
