The surge has increased greatly after obtaining the deemed university status, resulting in a significant increase in the quantum of grants and quality of publications, earning many a terminal degree.
OBJECTIVES • To identify priority research areas and initiate programmes • To seek research grants & promote focused research of national importance • To foster new collaborations and strengthen existing ones • To disseminate research findings in high impact publications • To provide logistics for researchers to implement ideas • To support IP related activities and technology transfer
To engage researchers across all scientific disciplines and encourage inter institutional cooperation, a concerted effort to bring researchers from across diverse background on a single platform to showcase their research activities is the tangible outcome of the Manipal Education System Vice Chancellor's Council. The previous editions of Manipal Research Colloquium (MRC) were a resounding success due to the active participation of researchers from Manipal Group of Institutions leading to impactful scientific outcomes. In continuation to this annual enriching Scientific Experience, the th Directorate of Research is happy to announce the 4 Manipal Research Colloquium from April 4 - 6, 2017. The event titled “Manipal Research Colloquium, 2017”, would be organized at Manipal University Campus, Manipal. Scientific papers from the following streams are invited for submission: • Health Sciences (HS): Medicine, Dental, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health • Engineering Sciences (TS): Engineering, Technology, Information Sciences, Architecture and Design • Basic, Applied and Fundamental Sciences (BS): Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Genetics, Embryology, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Natural Sciences. • Management Sciences(MS):Management, Banking and Commerce, Humanities and Social Sciences, International Studies, Geopolitics, European Studies, Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Mass Communication. The faculty and students who are affiliated to Manipal University and its offshore campuses are encouraged to submit the scientific abstract to the Directorate of Research. The abstract of the paper shall be submitted to
[email protected] on or before January 15, 2017. Following
acceptance of the abstract, by an expert panel, authors would be intimated to submit the full paper on or before February 6, 2017. Submission guidelines: Abstract: Title Page: The title of the paper with names of the authors and their affiliation; highlight the stream as HS/TS/BS/MS and type of the manuscript, Original Research / Review / Clinical / Technical Report Abstract: Word Limit - 300 words Keywords: Up to 5 Full Length Manuscript: Title Page: The title of the paper with names of all the authors and affiliation; highlight the stream as HS/TS/BS/MS and specify the type of the manuscript, if Original Research/ Review/ Clinical/ Technical Report Main document: Word limit - 3000 words including the Abstract, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion. The references, figures, tables and appendices, if any has to be provided with the main document. All other relevant attachments, clearly labeled and typed in Times New Roman, font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing may be e-mailed to
