The Federationsstressedthat this matterneedsto be taken up at the level of Hon'ble Minister for Railways with Hon'ble Finance Minister and requestedfor a meeting with Hon'ble MR. The Federationsre-iteratedthat Railway employees' functioning is quite comparable with those of the Defence Personnel as Railwaymen work 24X7 days under continuous stressand strain.
It w'as agreed to fix up a meeting of the Federationswith Hon'ble MR shortlv. Up-gradation of Apex level Group Official Side statedthat proposal has again been 'C' posts to Group 'B' Gazetted submitted to Ministry of Finance seeking their (3335posts). concurence. Thereafter, Ministry of Finance soughtcertain clarifications in contextto the said proposal which has been replied to them on 10.09.2015.The matteris fuither being pursued by Pay CommissionDte. Federations,however, stated that creatior/ upgradation in Group 'B' posts is within the competenceof Railway Board as was observedin the meeting of Standing Committee held on 07.05.2008.
