We appreciate being part of the Ross community with you. We have a few spots available in our Kindergarten classes. Please let your friends know to apply if they are interested.

Teen Time Thursday’s 3:30-4:30 p.m.   Where: Ross Montessori School, Laurie Maier's classroom But… What is it? An hour long class for girls, 5th - 8th years, focusing on social, individual, and physical issues of being a female while approaching the 3rd Plane of Development and being in the 3rd Plane of Development. Sample Topics 1. Conflict resolution b.  Follow through c. Work ethic d. Image/Dressing e. Opinions / judgements f.  Self confidence

g. Drop the drama Past Issues h.  Leadership / role models i. Healthy body, healthy mind, healthy heart

Picture Day Make Ups LifeTouch School Portraits will return on Wednesday, October 5th to do photo retakes of the students.  We will also gather to do our "All School Photo" that day.  Orders that were already placed for student portraits should arrive in approximately three weeks.  If you are not satisfied with your child's photo you can return the order on retake day and have your child rephotographed.  For more information please visit www.mylifetouch.com and use our Picture Day ID: CG426298Y0. 

  Lunch Volunteers and Utensils We need your help serving hot lunch to students Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Families are asked to provide 25 hours of volunteer service to RMS. Volunteers are essential to our ability to have the quality educational program you expect. Sign up here. Utensil rolls are available to purchase for $7.00 each. They include napkin, fork and spoon. You can buy them at the front desk by cash, check, or credit card during office hours.

Abuse Prevention Classes for Parents Ten Tips Every Parent Should Know to Protect Your Child from Sexual Abuse Offered two times this fall: Tues, September 13, 5:30-7:30 pm, River Bridge Regional Center, Glenwood Springs Mon, November 7, 5:30-7:30 pm, Grand River Health, Colorado River Room, Rifle Join Meghan Hurley, LCSW, for these FREE parent prevention classes. Meghan has been the mental health therapist at our local children’s advocacy center, River Bridge Regional Center, since it opened in 2007. 

Meghan has taught "Ten Tips" since 2011, as a way to help parents increase comfort and knowledge about speaking to children about sexual abuse and body safety.    

Meghan offers this interactive workshop to help empower adults with effective strategies for communicating with children on this difficult topic. Her extensive training related to sexual abuse victimization, as well as her work with survivors and their families, allow her to pass on knowledge that is essential for everyone to have.   For more information please visit www.riverbridgerc.org Please RSVP at https://tentips.eventbrite.com
