NEWS RELEASE The Ste. Genevieve R-II School District releases the following information pertaining to the closing of school on days of inclement weather. 1)
The safety and welfare of students will be the basis for making all decisions pertaining to the canceling of school as a result of inclement weather.
2)
Every effort will be made to notify the public at the earliest possible time pertaining to cancellations. Parents will be called by the district parent notification system, School Messenger.
3)
Cancellations will be announced immediately to the following radio/television stations: KREI 800 AM KSGM 980 AM KMOV CHANNEL 4 B104.3 FM
4)
KTJJ 98.5 FM KTVI CHANNEL 2 KFVS CHANNEL 12
KSDK CHANNEL 5 CHAN 990 & 991 CABLE KFMO 1240 AM
Students, parents, and patrons are asked to please refer to the above mentioned radio and television stations to listen for announcements and please DO NOT CALL SCHOOL NUMBERS, FALLERT BUS SERVICES, OR THE ABOVE LIST OF RADIO AND TELEVISION STATIONS. PHONE LINES MUST BE KEPT OPEN SO THAT CANCELLATIONS CAN BE MADE. The above radio and television stations are notified immediately when a decision is made.
