Columbia County Summer School, 2018 High School Brief Registration and Tuition: •

All CCBOE Students will register at their homeschool. Registration for seniors and juniors will take place on Tuesday, May 29th from 8-11AM. Sophomores and freshmen will register on Wednesday, May 30th from 8-11AM. Students will register with their counselor at their homeschool using the online system Infinite Campus. Out-of-County or Private School students will register at Greenbrier High School on May 30th 11:00-12:00AM. Classes are limited and registration is first-come, first served. Payments must be made at the time of registration *NO EXCEPTIONS*. The following payment types will be accepted: o MASTERCARD /VISA/ and DISCOVERCARD are accepted (via RevTrak). o Cash, money order, cashier’s check, or personal checks payable to the school of registration.

**There are no Late Registrations or Drop-Add Periods.

Columbia County students currently enrolled: Remediation (courses previously taken and not passed) Enrichment (course not previously taken)-

Out-of-County & Private school students:

$ 80.00 per ½ Carnegie Unit class $ 260.00 per ½ Carnegie Unit class $ 285.00 per ½ Carnegie Unit class

(Students may not retake courses in which a passing grade and Carnegie credit have been earned.) (Only 3 course segments for a total of 1 ½ Carnegie units may be taken in summer school.) The offering of courses is strictly dependent upon demand and availability of certified teachers. Courses that do not meet the minimum enrollment will be cancelled and refunds will be issued. Students who drop a course on June 4th and June 5th will be charged a $30.00 service charge. Classes are filled in the order of receipt of registration form and payment. Requests cannot be guaranteed. Classes are limited to a MAXIMUM of 21 students per class.

Open House/View Schedules Greenbrier High School 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm June 4 Classes Begin June 20 Mid-term – Grade Reports Sent Home June 25 - 27 EOC’s July 2 -6 July 4th Holiday/No School July 13 Summer School Graduation – 5pm Greenbrier High * School Reports Cards will be mailed if student provides a self-addressed stamped envelope. Report Cards that are not picked up or mailed will be sent to the student’s home school and may be picked up in the home school’s guidance office during pre-planning.

(Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis / MAXIMUM 21 students) Identification:

For identification purposes and media center usage, students must have their home school student ID card with them at all times.

Transportation:

The CCBOE Transportation Department will provide a schedule of times and pick-up/drop-off locations. For questions regarding bus transportation, contact Dewayne Porter at the Department of Transportation.

Parking Permits:

Students may purchase a parking permit at the time of registration. In the shopping cart, simply click on “Parking Permit” and the $10 fee will be added to your total. Please bring a copy of a CURRENT DRIVERS LICENSE, VEHICLE REGISTRATION, and INSURANCE to Evans High on the first day of school and a parking permit will be issued.

Dress Code:

Summer School DOES have a dress code that is ENFORCED. Details are in the Handbook.

Attendance:

A MAXIMUM of Three (3) days of absence per class is allowed; NO EXCEPTIONS. Prior approvals are not granted; exams are not given early. A student will be withdrawn with no refund on the 4th day of absence. Emergencies do arise. Plan accordingly.

Cafeteria:

1st period 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

2nd period 10:05 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.

Lunch 12:35 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

3rd period 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Lunch Services will not be provided. Students may bring a sack lunch or money for snacks.

ALL STUDENTS MUST LEAVE CAMPUS AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THEIR SCHEDULED DAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE APPROPRIATE TRANSPORTATION IS ARRANGED. NO STUDENTS ARE TO BE ON CAMPUS AFTER 3:30PM.
