HIGH SCHOOL HONOR CHOIR FESTIVAL  2017-2018    The Boulder Valley School District High School Choir Directors are excited to  announce the beginning of the BVSD Honor Choir Festival!  Students in grades 10-12  can audition to be considered for a spot in this auditioned group from high schools  across the Boulder Valley SChool District.  An auditioned mixed choir will be formed  and will have the opportunity to work with a professional guest conductor in this  collaborative performance environment with their peers from across BVSD.    The 2017 BVSD Honor Choir Festival will be held October 5-7, 2017 at Monarch High  School.     Auditions will be required to be admitted into the BVSD Honor Choir, and a balanced  ensemble will be formed from the blind audition.  All students will use the same  audition piece ​(Os justi - A. Bruckner).​  This piece is available in the CPDL library at  the following link: ​http://www.cpdl.org/wiki/images/a/a9/Bruckner-Os_justi.pdf     Auditions will take place on ​Wednesday, August 30, 2017​ beginning at 6pm at  Monarch High School.  Students should report to check in at the Auditorium at MHS  beginning at 5:30pm on the day of auditions.    When we return in the fall, students will be required to sign up for audition times  based on their voice part.  Information will be shared with directors in August for  this registration process.    Students that are admitted to the choir will be asked to pay a “suggested donation”  to help offset the costs of the festival.  Financial concerns can be discussed with your  individual director.    If you have any questions, please check with your high school director, or email me  at ​[email protected]    Have a great summer!
