United Community Bank is going to have a special night for our community in April. Please keep an eye out on the newsletter for more details.

Trashbags will be delivered this week. If your child has too many bags to carry, we may need you to pick them up at school.

Students will be bringing home order forms for our spring soap fundraiser. These forms are not due in until April 6th. This will allow us to get soap delivered before the school year is over. We appreciate your support!

Our archery teams represented JCD extremely well at the State competition. The high school team placed 5th, middle school team placed 9th, and the elementary placed 11th. Great job!

Helpful Vocabulary Difference Maker

THE LAST FAMILY LEARNING NIGHT!! This Tuesday is the LAST FAMILY LEARNING NIGHT of the school year. Family Learning Nights are intended to give parents a night with their children. Basically we are opening up the school for you to use one night a week for two hours. We will provide you with pizza and bottled water for FREE. You can use our guest wifi for FREE. You can use our computer labs, read library books, work on homework with your kids. It is FREE and we encourage you to be our guests. Family Learning Nights will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm on:

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION IS APRIL 6tH!!!!! Do you know any 5 year olds? Do you know anybody who will be 5 by 8/1/2017? Jac-Cen-Del Elementary will be hosting our Kindergarten Registration on April 6th from 1:30 to 6:30 in the elementary gym. Please call the office if you have questions 812.689.4144. LATE ARRIVAL DAY

Just a reminder that we will have a late arrival day this Wednesday, March 15th. Please make plans for your child. Teachers will report at regular time with students and buses running on a two-hour delay schedule. Supervision will again be provided for those parents needing it in the cafeteria of each building. Breakfast will be provided from 7:30 to 8:30. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Jac-Cen-Del Elementary has had several years of success with their performance on the ISTEP+ and IREAD3. We plan to continue our success this year. The 3rd-6th graders will take ISTEP+ and the 3 rd graders will take IREAD3. One way you can help your child prepare for Multiple Choice ISTEP+ is to have them practice on the “ISTEP+ Experience” website. This allows students to practice technology enhanced items for ISTEP+ in April. They will not have to do these types of problems until the second testing session.
