Derry Cooperative School District Substitute Workshop Wednesday, January 17th, 6:00 - 8:00pm Gilbert H. Hood Middle School Library REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED The Derry Cooperative School District is sponsoring a workshop for substitute teachers, assistants, and nurses. All current substitutes on the District’s substitute list are asked to attend. Anyone interested in becoming a Derry Cooperative School District substitute is strongly encouraged to attend. Current Derry Cooperative School District substitutes; Captain Vern Thomas of the Derry Police Department; Principal Dan LaFleur of Ernest P. Barka Elementary School; Interim Principal Bill Fox of Gilbert H. Hood Middle School; Director of Human Resources Kathy Kennedy; Business Administrator Jane Simard; and Interim Assistant Superintendent Dr. Austin Garofalo will present the workshop, which is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17th from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Gilbert H. Hood Middle School Library. Copies of the updated substitute manual will be available for participants who have not received one. It is also available on the Derry Cooperative School District website at www.sau10.org. All new substitutes must complete an application which can be found at the Superintendents of Schools Office. In addition, the District performs all required criminal checks for those working with school age children. Appointments for this screening need to be made in advance by calling 432-1210.
