Florence Unified School District No. 1 High School Summer Academy 2016 General Information Hosted at Poston Butte High School
All High School Summer Academy Classes will be held at Poston Butte High School, 32375 N. Gantzel Rd. San Tan Valley, AZ 85143 Phone: (480) 474-6100 Dates: Mon, June 6th - Friday, June 24th Registration and payments due by June 2 @ 12:00 pm Poston Butte High School is an open campus; students will be allowed to leave campus during the Summer Academy Program. FUSD Food Services will provide a free breakfast and lunch each day. Enrollment: Each student should review her/his transcript with a guidance counselor. 1. After reviewing transcript, the counselor will pre-enroll the student in the courses needed and the registration form will be turned in to the school bookstore. Pre-enroll does not guarantee a slot in a course. After the student is pre-enrolled, the parents can log on to their student’s account at https://payment.fusdaz.org/ to pay for the course(s). Submitting payment for the course is the ONLY way to secure a slot in the course. 2. STUDENTS ARE NOT OFFICIALLY ENROLLED IN ANY COURSE UNTIL PAYMENT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED. 3. Summer Academy courses will only be carried upon sufficient enrollment. 4. There are no reduction in fees available. Code Of Conduct: During the summer session, all students are expected to adhere to Florence Unified School District’s Code of Conduct at all times. Dress Code: Students are expected to adhere to the FUSD Dress Code during Summer Academy. For dress code violations, students will be sent to the Summer Academy office to call home for a change of clothes. Transportation: Transportation will be provided at designated neighborhood locations. A map will be provided to enrolled students in May. Attendance and Tardies: Students may miss two days of Summer Academy. On the third absence the student will be unenrolled with no credit and no refund. Three tardies equals one absence. One hour or more late to class equals an absence. Leaving early one hour or more equals an absence. Please see below regarding final exams. Final Exams: Final exams are given on the last day. All students must attend the last day of class. An absence on the last day will jeopardize credit for the course. All fees are nonrefundable. Grades: Summer Academy grades will NOT be mailed. Final grades will be posed to ParentVue/StudentVue.
