Dear Swim Coaches,
The 2017 Thanyapura Invitational Swim Meet presented by Rocket Science Sports will take place from March 31st- April 2nd 2017 at the world class facilities in Phuket, Thailand. The event is open to all swim clubs/international schools in the Asian Pacific region. In the past we have had great times and great performances and we are sure that this invitational will become one of Asia’s Classic meets for age groupers and adults The experience lived at the past few editions; where great times and great performances reflected on the participants’ and the coaches’ faces make us optimistic that the invitational will become one of Asia’s Classic events for age groupers and adults. Thanyapura’s Aquatic Academy consists of a 3m deep, eight lane outdoor 50m swimming pool with a 500 seating capacity bleachers, an adjacent eight lane 25m swimming pool for warm up and cool down. With additional toddlers and children’s pools and play area, it is certainly considered one of the finest aquatics facilities in Asia. Timing will be facilitated with the use of full Daktronics electronic timing system and latest Omega start blocks. Not only are we here to provide a great environment for racing fast, but we also are focused on developing the swimmers and coaches of the sport. The points in individual events for each age group will be: 20, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Only the first 16 relays will score towards the team classification. The points will be: 40, 34, 32, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22, 18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 1 team for relay events and 2 swimmers for individual events will score for team points Open events will count towards high points providing the Q.T. is met The Pool Open Water swim will not count does not count towards the team and individual trophy, but gets individual medals.

Rules: FINA rules apply with the exception of the age rule and relays. Events: You may enter up to 6 + 1 (open water) individual events plus relays. (Qualifying times may apply). Heats will be composed based on times, not ages. Individual classification The points in individual events for each age group will be: 20, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. The points will count for a maximum of 6 events The open water swim event will count separate, for medals (1, 2 and 3) There will 2 high point trophies, based on the FINA high point score for 1 event, for 1 female and 1 male swimmer Awards:
Wrist bands are available for all the heat winners. Medals for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each age group and event. Ribbons for place 4th – 8th place for each age group and event High point trophy awards for each age group (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) both for men and women. Open events will count towards high point providing the Q.T. is met. Based on the standard high points 1st, 2nd and 3rd place team trophy, based on the points obtained by the team in individual and relay events. FINA male and FINA female swimmer of the meet (based on the FINA high points score)

Please send us an estimate of the number of swimmers attending by sending this by e-mail to us no later than March 1st 2017. The minimum age for entry is 6 years of age (as of the day of competition). All entries must reach by us by March 17th 2017. Swim meet participants are capped at 500, so please get in early to avoid disappointment. The entry fees can be paid in U.S. Dollars or Thailand Bath (Payment and Bank information attached), by bank or at the coaches meeting, Friday 27th of March. Entries should be submitted by HY-TEK ‘Teammanager’ or Teammanager LITE’.
