The Hon'ble Railway Minister Shri SureshPrabhumet the FederationsG.IFR) at 15:45hrs., today i.e. 23/12/2015 and held iliscussionson the demand for abolition of New Pension System(I.IPS) in the'Railways. 'T{FIR President & General Secretary have explained that Railways' working ii unique, complex & complicated and cited the observations made by the Justice Khanna, Chairman Railway Safety h.eview Committee to this effect in his report and urged upon the Railway Minister to meet Hon'ble Fin*ce Ministet Shri Arun Jaitley and see that Government gives clearance for exempting Railway employees from 'lrlew Pension System". In the meeting, a copy of the letter sent by Railway Minister Shri SureshParbh., to Shri Arun !ai!!ey Finance Minister on 20* November 2015 was also given to the Federation(copy enclosed).Hon'ble Railway Minister has assured to discuss with the Finance Minister in this regard for-early approval of the Governme4t. 2. The following other issueswere raised by the NFIR" requestingRailway Minister's intervention for ensuring redressalto avoid unrest and agitation in the Railways:'

Railway Board has failed to place the case of Railway employeesin a proper manner before VIIth CPC and the facts relating to agreementsreached with the FederationJ on the following were not apprisedto VIIth CPC, consequentlythe Pay Commissionhas not given positive recornmendations. Merger of Technician Grade-tr with Technician Grade-I in Gp 2800/ReplacementofGP46001-withGP 48001-(PB-2). All-otment of GP 4600i- to Loco Pilot (Mail/Express) and In charge supervisory officials and Engineers to be gsvengazettedstatus.
NFIR also expressed$sappointment over the retregrade recomrnen&tions of VIIth CPC, causing seriousdisappointmentamongRailway employees. NFIR has pointed out that Railway Board is indifferent towards the demand for engagementof Course Compl^et-ed Ac! Applentices against safety vacancies and in this regard the Federation hightighted the record note of discussionheld by CI{B with the Federationson. Federationrequestedthe Railway Mioister to intervene for positively settling the issues.NFIR also mentionedthat QuasiAdministrative Units Staff shouldbe absorbed in GP 1800/-, as they are not outsiders.A copy of the record note of discussionsheld on I't October2015 was also handedover to Hon'ble MR. The RaiiWayFederations are persistentlyraisingtheir demand in variousfora foiwithdrawalof NPSin respectoi railwayemployees. The Federatioirs are alsoresenting against the noiice issuedby NationalPensionSystemTrust (NFSTrust) to all fhe subscribers undei-, NPSthat the Trust urillstart recovering fee/charge@ 0.010,/rof the AsseiUn|er i\'lanagemenl' (AUtq)on dailyaccrualbasisto neet itsexpenditure w,e,f.01.11,2015. .
