Vacancy Announcement for a Researcher / Research Manager position at ZEF The Center for Development Research, University of Bonn (Prof. Dr. Joachim von Braun) invites applications for the position of Researcher / Research Manager (E13, full‐time or part‐time) Beginning date April 1, 2015 or as soon as available The successful candidate will work with the ZEF Administrative & Finance Unit of ZEF and the Department of Economic and Technical Change at ZEF. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Applied research in interdisciplinary development research projects, in particular related to natural resources and to agricultural innovation Administrative & financial support, namely, preparation of contracts with research partners, processing transactions for project related expenditures, accounting for research & travel advances, monitor project financial and budgetary status; Prepare financial reporting to donors for third‐party projects Liaise with University of Bonn Departments concerning research contract and financial matters Any other duties as may be assigned or required
Requirements:
Master’s Degree in a relevant field, e.g. business administration or a closely related field with equivalent experience Excellent German and English language skills are essential Professional user of MSOffice (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Previous experience in preparing administrative and financial reports to German Ministries, the EU, and international entities is an advantage
