Approved the minutes as presented

Approved the following donations: LED countdown clock for the Wauseon Athletic Facility from Tomahawk Wrestling club valued at $436.26 $500.00 from UAW Local 86 to be used towards student Chromebook Insurance Protection Fund payments. $200.00 to be split evenly between the WHS Music Department and the Wauseon Athletic Boosters in memory of Philip Cain $25.00 to the WES Food Pantry from Cassandra Hampton

Approved the following personnel items: Offered a contract to David R. Fleming as the Wauseon Exempted Village School District Treasurer, effective on or before November 1, 2016 through July 31, 2019 Accepted the resignation of Michelle Borton as the Varsity Softball Coach for the 2016-17 school year, effective October 10, 2016 Offered a one-year limited outside athletic supplemental contract to Troy Gype as the Freshman Boys’ Basketball Coach at Step 0 on the approved salary schedule for the 2016-17 school year
Offered a one-year limited outside athletic supplemental contract to Kody Moden as the Varsity Boys’ Bowling Coach at Step 1 on the approved salary schedule for the 2016-17 school year Approved the following individuals as Volunteer coaches: Mark Britsch Pat Carr Tony Kohls Ray Martinez

Approved the following students as pool workers for the 2016-17 school year: Brandon Arredondo Alyssa Russell Accepted the resignation of Claire Chirgott as the WHS Marching Band Drill Team Instructor for the 2016-17 school year, effect October 3, 2016 •
Authorized the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with Kauffman Door in an amount not to exceed $2,120.00 for services related to the track/soccer press box project in cooperation with the Wauseon Athletic Boosters

Authorized the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with BMW Services in an amount not to exceed $4,750.00 for services related to the track/soccer press box project in cooperation with the Wauseon Athletic Boosters

Authorized the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with Krauss Electric in an amount not to exceed $6,150.00 for services related to the track/soccer press box project in cooperation with the Wauseon Athletic Boosters

Authorized the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with Griesinger Masonry in an amount not to exceed $3,611.00 for services related to the track/soccer press box project in cooperation with the Wauseon Athletic Boosters

Authorized the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with Rupp/Rosebrock in an amount not to exceed $12,500.00 for services related to the track/soccer press box project in cooperation with the Wauseon Athletic Boosters

Authorized the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with Freedom Fence in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00 for services related to the track/soccer press box project in cooperation with the Wauseon Athletic Boosters

Approved the following resolution: This resolution to declare transportation impractical for certain identified students is presented pursuant to the requirements of Ohio Revised Code §3327 and the procedures set forth by the Ohio Department of Education. The resolution follows careful evaluation of all other available options prior to consideration of impracticality. The Superintendent of Schools [Name] recommends that the board of education adopt the following resolution: WHEREAS the student(s) identified below have been determined to be residents of this school district, and eligible for transportation services; and WHEREAS after a careful evaluation of all available options, it has been determined that it is impractical to provide transportation for these student(s) to their selected school(s); and
WHEREAS the following factors as identified in Revised Code §3327.02 have been considered: 1. The time and distance required to provide the transportation 2. The number of pupils to be transported 3. The cost of providing transportation in terms of equipment, maintenance, personnel, and administration 4. Whether similar or equivalent service is provided to other pupils eligible for transportation 5. Whether and to what extent the additional service unavoidably disrupts current transportation schedules 6. Whether other reimbursable types of transportation are available; and WHEREAS the option of offering payment-in-lieu of transportation is provided in Ohio Revised Code: Therefore, be it RESOLVED that the Wauseon Exempted Village Schools Board of Education hereby approves the declaration that it is impractical to transport the students identified herein and offers the parent(s)/guardian(s) of students named on the attachment, payment-in-lieu of transportation.
