Welcome to Westbrook High School! We are excited and ready to welcome new and returning students and their families for the 2016‐2017 school year! Please check your email and postal delivery for important documents and information that were sent. Many students joined us over the summer for skill building in academics, athletics and language acquisition, and the building hummed with teachers who worked on their own learning and to refine the great work that is being done at Westbrook High School. Freshmen will join us on Wednesday, August 31 for a fun day dedicated to getting to know Westbrook High School, and all students are expected on Thursday, September 1, when we will have a modified schedule to ensure all teachers and students have a chance to meet and review expectations and the schedule for the year. We are introducing some great new additions to our advisory time, called Connections, and to our intervention/enrichment block, known as 4W. The changes include lessons to help students define their own pathways for high school and beyond, and an awesome app that will allow teachers and students to set appointments with one another for intervention or enrichment. A reminder that the school day begins promptly at 7:50 and ends at 2:30 (Wednesdays at 1:30).
