Work with Gmail and Calendar o ine Using Chrome, you can read and draft emails or see your Google Calendar events, even without an internet connection. Everything syncs when you’re back online. To use offline access to G Suite, you must use the Chrome browser. Enable offline access in your Google Admin console and then in Gmail and Calendar. You should only install offline apps on your own computer, not on a public or shared one.

First, turn on Gmail O ine access in your Admin console 1.
Sign in to your Admin console at admin.google.com.

Click Apps > G Suite > Gmail.

Scroll down and click Advanced settings.

Scroll down to the End User Access section, and check the Enable Gmail Offline for my users box.

Click Save, and wait a few minutes for the change to take effect. When you reload Gmail, you’ll see a new Offline tab in your Gmail settings.

Next, install Gmail and Calendar o ine Gmail With Gmail Offline, you can see your old emails and draft new ones that will be sent when you’re back online. You can also archive, label, or delete emails. They’ll be moved when you reconnect to the internet.
Install Gmail O ine To work offline, you must use the Chrome browser. 1.
Using the Chrome browser on your computer while you’re online, sign in to Gmail with your G Suite username and password.

In the top-right corner, click Settings

At the top right, click the Offline tab.

(This tab appears if you enable Gmail Offline in your Admin console, above). 4.
Click Install Gmail Offline. A new tab with the Chrome Web Store will open.

At the top of the page, click Add to Chrome.

In the pop-up, click Add app. A new window with your Gmail inbox offline will open in Chrome.

Click Allow offline mail > Continue.
Use Gmail O ine To use Gmail Offline, use your Chrome browser to open your Gmail Offline extension. Gmail Offline looks a little different from regular Gmail. Some settings won’t be available, but Gmail will sync changes you make when you’re back online, such as sending new emails or moving emails you delete or archive. 1.
In your Chrome browser, enter chrome://apps.

Click Gmail Offline. A new window will open.

Start using Gmail Offline: a.
To send an email, at the top left, click Write
, write your
email, and click Send. b.
To reply to an email, click the email and click Reply
.
c.
To delete a message, click the email. At the top of the email, click Delete.

You can move messages by clicking the Down arrow
and then clicking Move. Then, choose which label to move your message to. Note: The maximum size for one attachment is 5MB. There’s a limit of 25MB total for one message.

Classic Calendar You can only use Calendar offline with Classic Calendar. You’ll know if you’re using the new Calendar because you’ll see Add
at the
bottom of your calendar. If you’re using Classic Calendar, you’ll see
at the top left instead.

With Classic Calendar, when you’re offline, you can see your calendar and respond to event invitations. They will be sent when you’re back online. You can’t create events offline.
Turn on o ine access for Classic Calendar 1.
Using the Chrome browser on your computer while you’re online, open Google Calendar.

In the top corner, click Settings
> Offline.

Click Install from Web Store.

In the box that pops up, click Add to Chrome.

In the pop-up, click Add app.

(Optional) To check if offline access is working, open Google Calendar and click Settings
again.
Toward the bottom of the Settings menu, under Labs, a green circle with a checkmark next to the Offline option means all your events are synced. You can start using your calendar offline.
Use Calendar o ine To use Calendar when you’re offline, in your Chrome browser, enter chrome://apps. You can’t access Calendar from calendar.google.com when you’re offline, only through your Chrome apps.
Choose which calendars to sync o ine If you have more than one calendar, you can choose which ones to sync. 1.
Using Chrome while you’re online, open Google Calendar.

At the top corner, click Settings

At the top of the page, click the Offline tab.

Choose which calendars you want to access offline.

At the bottom of the page, click Save.
