May 2018 Dear Parents Year 12 Parent Consultation Evening – Tuesday 29th May 2018 As we approach the end of the school year it is essential that we ensure the home-school partnership is firmly established and focused on providing our Senior Students with the support and guidance they need to achieve success in their Diploma pathways. To facilitate discussions between students, parents and teachers a Subject Based Parent Consultation evening will take place on Tuesday 29th May, 2018 where you will have the opportunity to make appointments to see your child’s subject teachers. This year appointments will be made via Lionel. You will need to log in using your parent details and click on the appointments tile when this becomes available (May 14th at 8pm, closing at 11:59pm on May 25th). In the first instance you will be able to make a maximum of 6 appointments. This is likely to be sufficient for most people, but from 8pm on 21st May you will be able to make additional appointments where teachers have space in their schedules if required. The first available appointment will be at 3:45pm and the final appointment time is 7:15pm. Appointments will last 10 minutes and you must leave a 10 minute gap between slots to allow time to move between venues. Most meetings will occur in the teacher’s classroom, but this will be confirmed on the appointment screen. Heads of College may also be available on the evening depending on their own teaching commitments. Please contact them directly if you wish to make an appointment. Careers staff will also be on hand (based in Careers Office) to answer any questions you may have about future university applications and career choices. Once complete you can print off a hard copy of your schedule or access it via your phone. I do hope you are able to attend this evening as an effective home-school partnership is essential in supporting students throughout Years 12 and 13.
