(CLAPI) is a non-stock, non-profit organizalion dedicated to develop, enhance and promote reading habits, and provide training to teachers (English/Filipino), (school/hub librarians)., reading enthusiasts and early childhood practitioners. Founded in 1965, its main goal is to make children's literature come alive through creative energy, enthusiasm and imagination - creating and bringing library works to children, youth and lovers of literatureOn April 20-22, 7017, the association will be holding its annual seminar - workshop in the Promotion of Reading with the theme "Reading is For All. Part II". This will be held at Cloud 9 Hotel, Antipolo City. in partneBhip with Kaibigan Library ofthe Philippines, Inc.
At the end of the 3 day seminar - workshop, the participants are expected to : l) develop the culture of reading with a firm foundation on the love for reading; 2) acquire the art of teaching reading using the student's individual styles; 3) appreciate the use of storytelling as a means of reading promotion in the classroom and school libraries and lastly;4) know the important role of school libraries in the promotion of reading and in the implementation ofthe K-12 program.
