Your generous contributions at the beginning of the year provided the funding for this incredible list of activities/ programs for our school. Thank YOU for making this all possible! PTO Donation Drive - families at Rohwer raised over $18,000 to support all of the extra activities and events at Rohwer that the PTO plans and organizes! Back to School Breakfast for Staff – welcome back breakfast for our staff Rohwer Directory – every family received an electronic directory Rohwer Spirit Wear – Rohwer had an online store Watch D.O.G. Program – A great program for Dads to spend a day in our school and help our students Rohwer Carnival – record attendance and great fun Grade allowances for each Grade – for use on speakers or special projects for each grade Rohwer 101 – info sessions for new families and people that wanted to learn more about Rohwer Art Classes - PTO provided French and Spanish classes for Rohwer students after school Hy-Vee Receipts - our families collected receipts and raised $787 for our school Box Tops - by collecting Box Tops throughout the year, we earned $3,176 for our school Yearbook – PTO took pictures at events, volunteers arranged the photos & made an amazing yearbook Turkey Bingo – families came & played bingo to win a free turkey or pie Halloween Parties/Heart Hunt – PTO organized the planning & set out a heart for each student Book Fairs - PTO hosted two amazing Book Fairs throughout the year SkateDaze Family Night – In January we had a traditional skate night with a great turnout One School One Book Event - purchased the books and organized the celebration event for school Teacher Appreciation Week - PTO rolled out the red carpet with a week full of fun, food, and items to celebrate our amazing staff at Rohwer Staff Conference Dinners - PTO volunteers organized two staff dinners for the Rohwer staff during conferences Dancing Classrooms - PTO funded a 5-week Ballroom Dancing program for the entire 5th grade class. The competition team took home 1st place at the Colors of the Rainbow city competition. Movie Night – families came to school and had the choice between two movies Variety Show– we had a record number of participants showcasing Rohwer talent Friday Folders – each week PTO volunteers added all the important information to the folders Holiday Cookie Event for Staff – PTO provided a cookie exchange for staff Welcome Committee – new families to Rohwer received information & a hand written welcome PTO Scholarship – $1,000 scholarship was awarded to a Millard student that attended Rohwer Millard Public School Foundation $1,000 donation We also want to extend a heart felt thank you to Nancy Brosamle for her dedication and partnership with the PTO.
