Children in Need Friday 17 November Thank you for all your fundraising efforts. We raised the fantastic total of £473. It was impossible to pick a winning Pudsey teddy, so everyone who had taken part enjoyed a celebration chocolate. Parking Thank you to all those parents who have been making the effort to park considerately in Kennedy Gardens, what a difference! We have, sadly, been alerted to more inconsiderate parking, this time at our Bayham Road entrance. Please stop parking on the double yellow lines or zig-zag lines. Again, I must stress this is the minority of parents and thank all of you who are parking considerately and spending the extra time walking to deliver and collect your children. Please can parents also take care when children are exiting their cars as there have been recent near misses when children have stepped out in the road in front of oncoming cars.
own clothes and bringing their good quality tombola prize for the school fair on Saturday. Christmas Fair –Sat 2nd Dec - 12.00noon-3.00pm Please come along and enjoy all the usual fun of the Christmas Fair! The PTA has worked to ensure there is plenty to amuse as well as presents to buy. The grotto meetings and planning have been extensive - I am sure we can expect another St John’s spectacular! Raffle tickets will be on sale on the door from Mrs Quirk and Mr Oatley, so come ready to buy at £1 a ticket or £5 for a strip. KS1 Nativity Tickets and Arrangements There will be two performances of our Nativity on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th December at 2pm. We are so lucky again, to be able to use The Ship Theatre at Walthamstow Hall. In order to comply with safety arrangements, and guarantee a seat for everyone, we will be selling tickets at £2 each. Our outstanding costume department uses some of these funds when creating the spectacular nativity outfits. Initially we must restrict families to a maximum of 4 tickets which will be on sale from the school office from Wednesday 29th November.
High Viz Tabards It was reassuring to see Year 1 leave for their outing to the Stag Theatre yesterday dressed in their high viz. The mornings and evenings are so much darker now it would be advisable for all pupils to be wearing their school high viz. New tabards are available from Horncastles.
Your ticket price includes tea and Christmas refreshments which we will serve in The Hub across the way from the theatre after the show. Please then return to school to collect your child from the playground in the usual way at 3.15pm.
Swimming Hats Swimming hats are required for swimming lessons but are no longer available through the school office. Again these are stocked at Horncastles as well as Bat and Ball Sports.
Sarah-Jayne Wagstaff and her band have very kindly offered to play and organise a special evening to raise money for our school PTA.
