Going 3/1 on the day and scoring 24 points for the Wildcats were #1 Doubles: Sierra Foley & Anna Stuckwisch picking up significant wins over Fremont, Kearney and LSW.  4/27-Varsity Wildcats squeaked out the win 5-4 in today's battle verses the Thunderbirds. #2 and 3 doubles won first taking an edge on the day, tough play from today's doubles: Safar/Nuismer and Ekborg/Mally initiatied the team win, folllowed by Madie Beninato steady at #5 singles, Katy Freiburger's relentless groundwork at #1 singles and after suffering loss at #1 doubles, Anna Stuckwisch finished the needed fifth court at #4 singles for the win. Only 5 points separating the top 5 teams, very close!!!  4/27-Tough fought battle against Bellevue West. Strong doubles play put MW up 2-1 going into singles play. Great play from Carole Ciesielski and Jessica Leung who won both singles and doubles matches!

Varsity:  4/24-The Wildcats were in action Monday, April 24th @ Beatrice Country Club for the Beatrice Invite . Beatrice Country Club is a challenging track that is firm and fast. If you couple this with sustained 30mph winds and gusts up to 50mph, you have a recipe for some high scores. The boys from West hung tough and although scores were high, they were good, relative to the field. Individually the Cats were led by JT Engelbart and Ryan Rogers both shooting 88 and tying for 4th overall. After scorecard playoffs Engelbart finished 4th and Rogers 6th. Team Score: 367 3rd of 8 Teams JT Engelbart: 88 T4th 4th via scorecard playoff-Christian Hall: 97 Parker Shamburg: 98 -Tyler Hahn: 94-Ryan Rogers: 88 T4th 6th via scorecard playoff  4/27- The Wildcats were in Action Thursday, April 27th @ Yankee Hill Country Club for the Capitol City Invitational . This tournament features the largest field in the state and is a great gage for where your team is at heading into conference and district play. The team posted a score of 321 and finished 8th of 24 teams. While this isn't the finish they had hoped for there is plenty more in the tank and the Cats will look to bring this out down the stretch. Individually the Cats were led by Parker Shamburg who fired a 78 and missed medaling by one stroke. Team Score: 321 8th of 24 Teams-JT Engelbart: 85-Christian Hall: 80-Parker Shamburg: 78-Tyler Hahn: 80-Ryan Rogers: 83 JV:  4/25-Millard West JV Golf competed Tuesday in the Skutt Catholic Invitational at Tiburon Golf Course. The team shot 372 and finished 6th of 13 Teams. The Wildcats were led by Michael Hennessy who shot 83 placing 8th and Michael Ilg who shot 89 placing 14th. Millard West Team Score - 372 6th of 13-Michael Hennessy 83 - 8th-Michael Ilg - 89 - 14th-Jack Olson - 105-Brett Leighty - 98Sean Winters – 102  4/26-Millard West JV Golf competed Thursday in the Elkhorn Invitational at Indian Creek Golf Course. Team scoring for the event was a unique best ball format. Normally teams play five players and the low four 18 hole scores account for the team total. For this event they took the 5 scores for each individual hole and counted the low four scores on each hole for the team total. The Cats were short handed with only 4 players eligible to play. The team shot 365 and finished 12th. Individually the Wildcats were led by Junior Nolan Engelbart who shot 86 finishing tied for 12th overall. Millard West Team Score - 365 12th of 14-Michael Hennessy - 90-Zach Paulison - 92 -Nolan Engelbart - 86 T12-Ethan Nelson - 97

Girls tennis @MWHS_Tennis

Girls soccer @MWGirlsSoccer Varsity:  4/25-The Wildcats beat a feisty Omaha Central team 2-0 in windy and rainy conditions on Senior Night. Rachael Baker got the Wildcats up early off an assist by Leah Kirchner. Nicole Gornell buried a 25 yard free kick in the second half to secure the win. JV:  4/21- MW wins over Lincoln Southeast 6-0. Sierra Schmidt with a hat trick and one assist. Maddie Leucona with 2 goals. Taylor Phillips with a goal. Natalie Hall with two assists and Megan Kenney with one assist. FINESSE!  4/21- MW wins over Lincoln East 2-0. One of our toughest games to date. Although our ref encouraged us to "hurry this game up, I have plans tonight..." it was tied at half. 6 minutes into the 2nd half, Sierra Schmidt got her 4th goal of the DAY with an assist from Maddie Leucona. Our second goal came about 3 minutes later from a beautiful shot from Ashlyn Turk (assist Megan Kenney). The last 31 minutes of the game was total grit with some amazing saves from Brenna Hansen. The Wildcats earned another shut-out!  4/25-MW wins over Omaha Central 10-0. 7 different players scored goals in the game against Central. Chaise Pfanstiel with a hat trick. Riley James and Taylor Hofbauer each with PKs. Natalie Hall, Sierra Schmidt, Grayce Dean, and Sophia Krzyzanowski each with a goal. Assists came from Maddie Leucona, Grayce Dean, Megan Kenney, Taylor Hofbauer, and Karlie Ellis. Brenna Hansen and Macy Konwinski with the shut-out.  4/27- All five goals were BEAUTIFUL goals from four different players. An awesome showing by the JV team in their 2nd to last game of the season. Ashlyn Turk scored in the first 4 seconds. She dribbled past 7 girls in our first shot and goal of the game. Chaise Pfanstiel shot from way outside the 18 for the 2nd goal and then received an assist from Maddie Leucona for her second goal (3rd of the game). Megan Kenney had a beautiful left footed shot (and goal) into the upper left hand corner of the goal (assist from Natalie Hall). Karlie Ellis assisted Sophia Krzyzanowski in our 5th goal of the game. Sophia took a one touch blast right past LSW's keeper. Brenna Hansen with 2 saves and the shutout!  4/29- With it tied at halftime, the Wildcats made some minor adjustments to come out strong at the beginning of the 2nd half. Sierra Schmidt got fouled in the box which allowed for Riley James to make the PK. Our second goal came with about 10 minutes left from Natalie Hall. The Wildcats ended their PERFECT season being 14-0. Scoring 66 goals and allowing NONE. Of the 21 players on the team, 15 scored at some point throughout the season! Such a fantastic season! Great job girls!! Reserve:  4/24- Reserve falls to Westside 3-1. Olivia Schuster scored off of a combination from Heidi Nigro and Mackenzie Parker. After Westside scored two quick goals, the team made adjustments and played a tough defensive game led by Kiley Johnson.

Boys soccer @MillardWestFC Varsity:  4/24-MW wins over Creighton Prep 1-0. Big night for the Wildcats as an early goal from Freshman Nathan Bauermeister was all that was needed to secure a 1-0 against a very good Creighton Prep team. The boys held on and defended well for most of the night and Sophomore Sam Fedde came away with the shutout. The back 5 including McGowan, Hackbart, Zapata, Hall and Lu all had strong performances.  4/27-MW falls to Kearney 1-2. Senior night vs Kearney ended with a loss in a shootout. After a first half goal from Senior captain Caden Frank on a great assist by senior Gabe Najera the Wildcats struggled to convert on any additional chances and Kearney leveled the game with 15 minutes to play.
