Wyoming Real Estate Commission Budget and Fiscal Management Policy Effective Date: March 1, 2016 In adopting this policy, the Wyoming Real Estate Commission shall recognize the following practices regarding management of the agency budget and financials: 1. It is the expectation of the Commission that the agency maintain a budget reserve that supports operation of the agency for six (6) months without the collection of additional revenue. 2. It is the expectation of the Commission that the agency maintain a budget reserve to support unforeseen costs associated with an administrative hearing. The Commission presently expects a reserve of no more than $100,000 for administrative hearings. 3. It is the expectation of the Commission that the Executive Director notify the Commission of budget processes and impacts concerning: a. One-time major purchases that total over $10,000 b. State laws and policies that impact personnel costs, especially market adjustments, costs-of-living increases and salary bonuses/raises c. Anomalies to budget cost centers that arise due to unforeseen expenses or costs d. Formal biennial and supplemental budget requests for consideration by the Governor and Wyoming Legislature 4. The Commission authorizes the Executive Director and the Business Coordinator to run daily deposits and balances of credit card transactions processed through the State of Wyoming’s designated credit card processing service.
Wyoming Real Estate Commission Management Policy for Executive Director Effective Date: March 1, 2016 In adopting this policy, the Wyoming Real Estate Commission shall recognize the following practices regarding management and oversight of the Executive Director of the agency: 1. It is the expectation of the Commission that the Executive Director comply with all Personnel and Compensation Rules and Policies adopted by the State of Wyoming. 2. It is the responsibility of the Executive Director to conduct regular performance appraisals of all staff. 3. It is the responsibility of the Executive Director to discipline all staff according to the most current State of Wyoming Personnel Rules. 4. The Executive Director shall receive a performance appraisal by the Commission, in accordance with the performance appraisal guidelines and processes established by the Wyoming Department of Administration and Information Human Resources Division.

Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) Any licensed Wyoming responsible broker, associate broker, or salesperson that completes coursework in pursuit of any of the above NAR designations/certifications may petition the Wyoming Real Estate Commission to acknowledge this coursework and accept it as continuing education credit for renewal of a real estate license. Petition shall be made via written request to the Commission and submission of official certificates of course completion by 11:59 PM on December 1 of every calendar year.
Wyoming Real Estate Commission Office Safety Policy Effective Date: March 1, 2016 In adopting this policy, the Wyoming Real Estate Commission approves that the following practices shall be engaged by office staff to ensure the safety of all individuals: 1. Office staff may ask a visitor to leave the premises if that visitor is engaging in derogatory, threatening, or violent behavior; 2. Office staff may end a phone call if the caller is engaging in derogatory, threatening, or violent behavior; 3. Office staff shall connect a visitor or phone caller with the proper local authorities or emergency personnel in the event of a medical emergency or life-threatening situation, and; 4. The Executive Director may establish and enforce office protocols and disaster plans to protect staff and visitors in the event of any medical emergency, evacuation, dangerous weather or other life-threatening situation.
