Dear Athlete, Congratulations on gaining selection in the 2014 Bundaberg Track & Field team. Your selection enables you to participate in the Wide Bay Track & Field Championships on the 15th and 16th September at Burnett State College, Gayndah. The Wide Bay Championships serve as a trial for selection in the Wide Bay team to compete at the state championships in Brisbane on the 23rd – 26th October 2014. Important!! You need to confirm your intention to compete by Friday 5th September, otherwise your position will be filled by another student. Give notice to your schools sports coordinator of your acceptance (by showing completed permission form) or rejection of this offer before this date. Payment for the sport levy needs to be paid to your school cashier before the Friday 10th September, so that your school can be billed by the BDSSS. Completed permission forms will be required and collected before you are allowed to compete.

If you are not catching the bus YOU MUST still pay the full cost. PLEASE NOTE: As transport costs are split evenly between the participants attending these trials, you have until seven days prior to trials to indicate to your coach/ manager or school sport coordinator that you are NOT attending these trials. After this date you will incur the full transport cost, even if you do not attend these trials, unless your non-attendance is a result of illness, injury or other justifiable circumstances. School sport is unable to absorb the costs of transport for students that simply ‘fail to show’. DECIDE WELL IN ADVANCE IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PARTICIPATE AND ENSURE THIS IS INDICATED TO RELEVANT OFFICIALS. School sport needs your assistance in this area to ensure transport to all trials remains financially viable and therefore access to representative sporting opportunities is a reality for ALL Bundaberg students.

Full school uniform must be worn when traveling to and from the Gympie. You will be provided with a district singlet to run in which must be handed in once you have finished competing. Date:

Time:

Must be at Bundaberg State High School at 5.45am each morning and you will return to Bundaberg State High School by 5.15pm each afternoon.
