MILL LOTTO SELLING CONTINUING.
In their second league outing of the season, Towers maintained their unbeaten record. Windy conditions, gave Towers full advantage in the first half scoring two goals in the first ten minutes. The first

came from a well worked half back line of Andrea Bowe, Maria Kavanagh and Suzanne Murray. Suzanne Murray finished the move with a long range effort that ended up in the back of the net. Hannah Tyrell, from midfield, added the second goal with a shot from the 21 yard line. Skerries launched several attacks in the first half, resulting in two well taken goals. The full back line of Amanda Murray, Natasha Daly and Eimear McGrath worked hard, and stuck tight to keep out the opportunity for more goals. Emily Hamill from half forward added two points from play within the half to keep Towers in front. Danielle Campbell at full forward finished off the half with a well taken free. In the second half against the breeze, Towers knew they were in for a battle. The composure was kept for the opening period, with Emily Hamill adding another goal, along with a Karina Connolly goal. The two corner forwards, Caoimhe Young and Gillian Dowling worked their socks off, and won many breaking balls which resulted in Ruth Collins and Danielle Campbell claiming points. Suzanne Murray made some vital wins of possession in the half back line. The positivity continued with a superb penalty from Emily Hamill when Hannah Tyrell was taken down at the goal mouth. Natasha Daly put in a solid performance in the back line alongside Amanda Murray keeping the Skerries forwards at bay. In the last ten minutes, with nine points in front, Towers were surely onto a win. Panic set in, and Towers conceded 1-0 from the Skerries full forward. An injury to full back Amanda Murray, resulted in a big gap to fill, which Skerries made use of. A side line ball resulted in a messy goal from Skerries, leaving just three points in it. Towers conceded a further two points in the last three minutes to just hang onto a one point win. Towers play St. Brigids away in the first round of the championship next Wednesday to hopefully continue the winning streak.
