Method of Entry

Description/Suspect Information

Cut Padlock on Officers were dispatched to the 21000 Block of W. gate to gain entry Eight Mile Rd for an alarm at business. to rear of building. Dispatch updated that an eyewitness heard glass breakage during an earlier alarm and saw a white truck leave the building. The truck has now returned with trailer attached and two black males wearing cutoff shirts cut the padlock on the gate on the west side of the building. Officers arrived on scene and discovered that the west gate was now wide open with lock cut and two saws were on the ground near the fence. Officers could hear banging coming from the rear of the building. Officers approached the back and observed truck with trailer pulled into overhead garage area. 2- B/M’s were loading up the trailer with scrap, tools, and welding equipment. Both suspects were taken into custody w/o incident. Several items were recovered from suspect’s trailer. Cash & Suspected Marijuana was recovered from suspect’s vehicle.

2- Coin Operated Vacuums were pried open. Unknown amount of Quarters are missing.

Representative for business advises 2- Coin Operated Vacuums were pried open overnight. There were several quarters stolen. Surveillance video shows two subjects on bicycles pull up and break into the coin boxes.

Home Invasion: Date/Time 09/02/2015 11:51am

Method of Entry Open front door.

Description/Suspect Information Officers responded to PPO Violation in Progress. Suspect male is walking around victim’s residence banging on the windows and doors. Victim fled the residence and went to a neighbor’s house. Victim states suspect went inside her residence after she fled out the front door. The suspect fled the residence prior to Officers arrival. House checked ok doesn’t appear that anything is missing. Victim did discover that one of her tires on her vehicle was damaged and flat. Appears it was stabbed with a knife. Officer located suspect coming out of a neighbor’s bushes and entering his vehicle. He was ordered to stop and he complied. Suspect was taken into custody for Violation of PPO. A Folding Knife was recovered from suspect during a search incident to the arrest. Possible Home Invasion Charges pending.

Entry was through Victim states his bikes were in the garage and last seen an open garage around 10:00pm. Victim states he left the garage door door. open all night. The following morning around 6:00am the bikes were discovered missing. Victim stated there was a third bike in the garage along with other expensive equipment that was not disturbed.

(Residential- Apartments)

A neighbor reported hearing several loud thuds and then glass breaking. The neighbor immediately phoned the police. Officers responding discovered a window partially broken out. No suspect(s) were located. It doesn’t appear that entry was gained. The residence has been vacant for some time. Victim states he had left for work at 6:30am and left his nephew in the apartment alone without an apartment key. When victim returned home from work he noticed the door open and Two Gaming Systems were missing. No other property was taken or disturbed in the apartment. Victim states he doesn’t suspect his nephew but he has fallen on hard times recently. He only knows his nephew by the name “Kendale”?

25000 W Twelve Mile Rd No signs of forced (Residential- Apartments) entry.

Victim advises that she is in the process of moving out of her apartment. She has already moved all of her furniture out and she has until the end of the month to move out of the apartment. Sometime between 08/31/2015 @ 6:00pm and 09/04/2015 6:34pm someone entered her apartment and took several Pairs of Shoes and a North Face Jacket. There were no signs of forced entry. Victim states other than herself, Maintenance are the only other person(s) that have keys.

Victim stated his vehicle was stolen on Sunday August 6, 2015 sometime between 12:01am & 7:00am. It is unknown how entry was gained. On September 7, 2015 at 2:57pm it was reported to SPD Front Desk that the vehicle had been recovered by Redford PD. No further information at this time.

Victim states sometime between 1:00am6:55am someone took All Four Wheels & Tires from his 2015 Chrysler 300.

Victim stated he took his parents 2007 Saturn Vue to the Chevy dealership located in the 28000 Block of Telegraph Rd. Victim had a prescription bottle of medication that he left inside the vehicle when he dropped it off. Victim picked the car up about an hour later and drove home. That’s when he noticed his medication was missing from the vehicle. Victim called the dealership and notified them. They did not locate victim’s medication.

Misc. Papers, Registration & Cell Phone were taken from 2005 Chevy Malibu.

Victim states her registration, misc. papers and cell phone were stolen out of her vehicle sometime between 1:00am & 7:00am. Entry was gained through an unlocked door. No suspect information.

All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2013 Buick Verano.

Reporting party (R/P) representative for Complex states that sometime between 12:00am- 7:00am someone went through their 2007 Dodge Caravan and took a set of keys. One of the keys was for the 2007 Dodge Caravan. Several of the other keys were from old locks. Vehicle was not damaged. Victim states sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning at 6:30am someone took All Four Wheels & Tires from victims 2013 Buick Verano.

08/31/2015 11:02 29000 Block of Southfield Rd. (Commercial- Businesses) Officer’s investigation revealed that suspect had committed Retail Frauds at two separate stores in the complex. Because of the dollar value both stores didn’t wish to prosecute. When Officers questioned suspect about his identity he gave Officers a false name. The suspect was arrested for Obstructing Police.

CCW/ DWLS 2nd Offense

30000 Block of Southfield Rd. Victim (17 Year Old B/F) stated she was walking N/B on Southfield Rd. just south of 13 Mile Rd. Victim stated a B/M driver motioned for her to come over and stated "Hey come over here and let me talk to you, you are so beautiful." Victim said no and walked faster. Victim stated when she got near the end of the Apartment Complex the B/M had driven closer to her and got out of his car and ran after her saying Didn't I say come her and cursed at her. Victim ran into the strip mall and went into business and asked for help. Suspect Description: B/M early thirties, 6-1-6-3, 200-220 lbs., athletic build, dark skinned, wide pointy nose, slanted almond shaped eyes, braids that were to the bottom of neck. Suspect was driving a newer Ford Fusion Gray in Color.

28000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. (Night Club) Officers responded to the Night Club on report of 3- B/M had stolen car keys and two cell phones from a table which was occupied by 6- B/F’s. When confronted the 3- B/M’s assaulted several of the females and fled in a Chevy Impala, Silver In Color. Officers located one of the suspects standing next to vehicle that matched the description of suspect vehicle. The suspect was uncooperative with Officers stating they were just harassing him for no reason. Because the suspect was so agitated and uncooperative he was handcuffed for Officer Safety purposes so Officers could continue their investigation safely. During the pat down of suspect Officer located a handgun in suspect’s waistband. The suspect reached for the handgun during the pat down and Officer had to use the necessary force to restrain suspect while he retrieved the handgun from suspect’s waistband. During the investigation victims came by and positively identified the suspect and the vehicle as being involved in earlier theft. The suspect was arrested for CCW/ DWLS 2nd Offense. The original Larceny is still being investigated. Additional suspects haven’t been located at this time.

Disorderly Conduct/ Resisting & Obstructing Police 1- Arrest 09/04/2015 11:46pm 18000 Block of Westland Ave. Officers responded to residence reference Loud Noise Complaint. When Officers arrived on scene they met with complainant and began to interview him. They were informed that suspect (neighbor) was yelling and screaming profanities at his side window for the last 3 hours. As Officers were interviewing complainants the suspect came out of his residence and started screaming profanities at complainant in Officers presence. Officers attempted to calm neighbor down and he responded by screaming at the Officers, screaming profanities at then as well and causing a disturbance. At this point Officers attempted to take suspect into custody for Disorderly Person. The suspect fled into his residence. Officers attempted knocking on suspect’s front door to get him to come outside. Suspect opened the door and came charging out at Officers with a metal object in his hand. Officers fought with suspect as he resisted numerous times. Officer eventually got suspect handcuffed and took him into custody.

Retail Fraud/ Assault/ Obstruct Police-

09/05/2015 1:16pm 21000 Block of W Eleven Mile Rd.

(Pharmacy) Officers were dispatched to Retail Fraud at Pharmacy. B/M suspect in his 40's was wearing a white t shirt, red shorts. The suspect assaulted two security persons while fleeing the store and was last seen running north across 11 Mile Rd behind the Gas Station. Officer located the suspect on the north side of the Gas Station. The suspect was sweating and appeared agitated. Pharmacy wanted to prosecute because they had been victimized by the same suspect numerous times. When Officers asked suspect for his name he gave Officers false information about his identity. The suspect was taken into custody for Assault/ Retail Fraud & Obstructing Police.

CCW/ VCSA2- Arrests 8 Mile Rd./ James Couzins Officers initiated a traffic stop at location for a Traffic Offense. The stop led to (2) arrests for CCW and VCSA (prescription pills). 2- Firearms were recovered from the vehicle.

OWI1- Arrest West Nine Mile/ Evergreen Rd. Officers were dispatched to location on a report of a subject slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle. Upon arrival, an OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for OWI.
