High School Debate Workshop For STUDENTS and EDUCATORS ®

Free debate workshop for high school students and educators. Attendees will be introduced to all aspects of British Parlimentary Debating by the University of Miami Debate Team. • Participants of this event will be introduced to the new tournament format of the 2017-2018 Fairchild Challenge High School Debates • In this interactive workshop, students and teachers will become familiarized with rules and procedures, research and argument construction, and will receive feedback from debate coaches after a practice round • Lunch will be provided at this free event. • Registration period: November 8 - November 22 only. Note that spaces are reserved on a first-come, firstserved basis.

• Teachers: Register up to eight students and two teacher chaperones by filling out the Debate Workshop form found online. • Schools/students are responsible for transportation.
