Workshops and Speakers

AIS WORKSHOP SERIES The K-5 Practice series explores RtI (Response to Intervention) in topics related to the 5 pillars of literacy for intervention in elementary school. The 6-12 Practice Series explores AIS strategies for literacy and provides tools for intervention in middle and high schools. The Toolkit & Speakers Series allows participants to receive training and a starter kit of materials as well as to hear respected literacy speakers present on a variety of intervention and instructional topics. The Principals Series provides elementary school leaders with an overview of RtI ands best practices for their schools. The workshops are designed specifically for a principal’s perspective. The Behavior Intervention Series is designed to support a multi-tiered system of intervention with a focus on the development of specific practices around behavior to implement in classrooms. The Wilson & Fundations Series is designed to support participants who are implementing various Wilson programs including Fundations, Wilson (WRS) and Just Words.

HOW TO CHOOSE A WORKSHOP Select workshops that align with your school’s year-long instructional focus to expand upon your current path of study. Review data and student work to identify areas of focus for your instruction and choose workshops that address those needs. Attend workshops with a colleague so that you can support one another with applying your learning in your classrooms. Choose a set of workshops to explore multiple facets of a particular topic of interest.
