Mirza-Shafi project has been submitted to the City Hall for approval . According to “Capital Partners Of Georgia” founder, the project has been revised and an international tender to select the company will be announced upon receipt of the construction permit . In his words, in any case, construction is to begin in the spring. An agreement has been signed with the global brand “Kempinski” in the framework of the project. In Svanidze’s words, up to 60 million dollars will be invested in the project which includes the construction 2-4 storey terraced buildings, business centers, boutique hotels, cultural houses of various countries and exhibition halls. Critics say the project does not fit into the architecture of Abanotubani which is the ancient district of Tbilisi and believe it is unacceptable to place ugly buildings in the shape of cubes in the area.
