All Registered Owners of Private Automobiles and Others Concerned.

SUBJECT:

Amending Sections 4 and 5 of Department Order No. 4-76, dated January 6, 1976.

Section 1. Section 4 of Department Order No. 4-76 is hereby amended to read as follows: 'Sec. 4. Rate of energy or ad valorem tax. - For purposes of determining the amount of tax, the following percentage tax shall be observed:

Sports Car (regardless of weight) ......... 1 1/2% Extra Heavy Automobiles (2001 kilos and over) .......................... 1 1/2% Heavy Automobiles (1501-2000 kilos) ....... 1% Light Automobiles (1001-1500 kilos) ....... 3/4 of 1% Bantam Automobiles (1000 kilos or less)... 1/2 of 1% Private jeeps and jeepneys (regardless of weight) ........................ 1/2 of 1%

The above percentages shall apply to the schedule of values set forth in Table 1 which shall form an integral part of this Ministry Order." Section 2. Section 5 of Department Order No. 4-76 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 5. Schedule of energy or ad valorem tax. Automobiles and jeeps and jeepneys subject to the tax imposed in Section 3 hereof shall be subject to the energy or ad valorem tax under Table 2 hereof which establishes the schedule of taxes for cars and jeeps." Section 3. This Order shall be applicable to all 1980 and subsequent registrations.
