Myanmar Mobile Education Project (www.myMEproject.org) Job Title: Full-Time Project Coordinator position Location: Yangon, Myanmar Duration: 6 months, with possibility of extension based on performance Salary: Competitive + incentives Purpose of job: The coordinator will plan, organize, promote, implement, and evaluate activities and duties that are part of a mobile classroom project in Yangon in order to empower children working in teashops within the region. Context and Environment: The aim of the Myanmar Mobile Education (myME) Project is to provide instruction via mobile classrooms to children in Myanmar who have been compelled into labor at teashop restaurants where they have to work long hours every day without access to education. The mobile classrooms provide these children an opportunity to learn basic literacy, math and computer skills in a safe environment where they can gain self-confidence and develop critical thinking skills through innovative, interactive instruction. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: Act as a project coordinator, overseeing all operations, reporting to myME leadership team Supervise the instructional programs, teachers, volunteer assistants and bus driver Act as a counselor to students and their families Advise and assist students with available social services Liaise and collaborate with teashop owners Conduct needs assessments and support in planning of new activities, curricula and initiatives Document accurate data records and prepare internal reports updating on activities and progress Prepare weekly and monthly reports for myME leadership team Schedule and attend monthly/quarterly meetings with myME leadership team Organize myME Project profile-raising events and activities to attract new volunteers and teashop owners Collect and compile financial data and instructional data (student attendance, progress, etc) Other tasks as needed Relationships are a core component of the job: the project coordinator will have to develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with: • myME leadership team • myME teachers

Education and Experience: • Bachelors degree or higher • Minimum three years of relevant experience • Knowledge of relevant technology: Microsoft Office, Social Media, Email Effective verbal and written communication skills in Burmese and English Flexible, able to adjust programs to the needs of the students Able to easily communicate and negotiate with teashops owners, parents, and students Able to coordinate the project’s personnel, and manage data collection and reporting Demonstrates ability to multi-task Excellent organizational skills Other tasks as necessary Key Competencies • Self motivation and initiative • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Effective problem solving and decision making • Good organizing and planning • Excellent critical thinking • Stress tolerance, flexibility, and adaptability • Must be a good team player Applicants with the qualifications and experiences stated above will have to submit the following documents in English to
