29th October – 4th November, 2012.
Seven Days Hands On Training Course on Analytical Instruments The Institute of Science, Mumbai, is a premier Post graduate teaching and Research Institute. The Institute offers M.Sc. (by papers), M. Sc. (by research) and Ph.D. programmes in the subjects Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Environmental science, Physics, Microbiology, Mathematics and Zoology. Analytical instruments plays a crucial role in day to day Research and Development (R&D) activities. Researchers pursue R&D using Analytical Instruments. These instruments are basic requirements of researchers and help them to keep pace with global developments. Successful adaptation of the technical advances in instrumental analysis requires skill to operate and maintain these analytical instruments. The Institute of Science is organizing “Seven Days Hands on Training Course on Analytical Instruments”. The training course is aimed to impart training of operation and maintenance of analytical instruments to the participants which will be helpful to remain abreast of new developments in the analytical techniques. This training program will also help to enhance the skills required to handle and operate analytical instruments, which are imperative in the present scenario. The Institute is having wide range of Analytical instruments required for the researchers aiming to do research in chemical, physical and biological sciences. The major Instrument facilities available in the Institute includes
UV-VIS and PDA detectors. HPTLC with Photo Densitometer.
