Coordinator Biography Alice Borman
The Early Childhood Summer Programme is offered for students ages 3-6. Our philosophy is that children learn through play. Learning will become more meaningful to children through active exploration and interaction with adults, teachers and children. Our experienced early childhood teachers and assistants have planned a variety of fun and engaging activities such as art, creative crafts, music, cooking, yoga, ball games, Kristi McEwen outdoor exploration, scavenger hunts, science experiments, math games, swimming and much more. The children will have an incredible summer experience exploring, growing and discovering.
Alice has a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Diploma in Teaching from Charles Sturt University in Australia. She has over 30 years teaching and administrative experience in elementary schools in Australia and internationally. In Australia, Alice has helped to create and implement programmes in P.E and The Performing Arts. Over the years she has coached and managed teams in Softball, Girls Cricket and Swimming. This is Alice’s third year at UNIS and she is currently teaching Grade 2. She is looking forward to taking part in the 2017 Summer Camp Programme at UNIS.
Kristi is a registered teacher from Canada. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in Ontario, Canada. She then received her teaching degree in Australia. Kristi is a Kindergarten Specialist. Kristi is from Ottawa, Canada and she has been living overseas for 14 years. Kristi has been teaching for 12 years, working with students from 3-12 years of age. She has taught in Australia, Korea and Germany. This is her third year at UNIS and is currently teaching Kindergarten 1. Kristi has worked at summer camps at her past school and is looking forward to her second year at UNIS Summer Programme.
2017 UNIS Summer Programme Course Description and Coordinator Biography Dung Tran Dung has a Bachelor of English and Education Secondary and Primary, also a Masters of Arts in Education. Dung has 26 years Teaching (with 21 years of teaching at UNIS Hanoi) in Primary at all grade levels from Early Childhood to Grade 5. Whilst at UNIS Hanoi, she’s has held a variety of coordinating position such as Specialist coordinator, Team leader and Service learning coordinator. Dung has been involved in UNIS Hanoi Summer Programme for several years in different position such as: EAL coordinator, and Math coordinator assistant and ECC coordinator. She is looking forward to her third year to work as ECC coordinator at UNIS Summer Program.
Kristin Partridge Kristin is from Seattle, Washington, USA and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Management. This is her first year at UNIS Hanoi and teaches in Discovery. Kristin is also the Team Leader for her grade level. She has taught in the USA, Indonesia and China for the past 15 years. Kristin has had various roles at previous summer camps including teacher, Summer Camp Director and Summer Camp Curriculum Coordinator. She is looking forward to being one of the ECC Coordinators at UNIS Summer Programme 2017.
