FAIRFIELD COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
The purpose of this Report to the Parents is to give an update on the performance and progress being made toward improvement goals. In this report, we have provided brief goals, programs, activities, awards, and recognitions for students and teachers.
Programs, Awards, Special Recognitions
2015-2016 Goals 98% of Fairfield Career and Technology Center CATE Program Completers will go to college, enlist in the military, or join the work force. 10% of Fairfield Career and Technology Center's CATE Program Completers will score 3 or higher on each of the 3 core subtests of the WorkKeys Exam. 7% of Fairfield Career and Technology Center Completer Programs will offer at least one duallyarticulated course.
Progress and Actions Planned
The new Fairfield Career and Technology Center, adjacent to Fairfield Central High School and Fairfield Middle School, opened in August 2015 for the 2015-16 school year. The new location allowed for completer program expansion and a synergy of Pre-Engineering programs. FCTC now houses: Sports Medicine Barbering

FCTC director, school counselor, and instructors will provide services for students to explore college opportunities and career options.
FCTC Vital Statistics
100% of Cosmetology seniors passed the Cosmetology Certification exam.
100% of Culinary Arts concentrators earned ServSafe Food Handlers Certification.
Instructors will devote bell work time to prepare students for the types of questions and expected responses on the WorkKeys assessment utilizing the KeyTrain preparation software. Fairfield Career and Technology Center will expand the existing articulation agreement with Midlands Technical College to align current curriculum with Midlands Technical College Career and Technology Education (CATE) Programs.
