Game Changer Awards Event Information The Game Changer Awards are almost here, and it’s time we shared with you the details of the day and how everything is going to work. Sunday 20th August 2017 Murdoch University Learning Link 8:30 am – Team registration and setup Park in Murdoch carpark #4, and follow the signs and volunteers to the Learning Link. Each team will be provided with a trestle table, a pinup board and one power outlet. Anything else you need for your presentation must be brought with you. There will be approximately 3m x 3m of space for each team to set up in. 9 am – Judging starts Each team will have 2 judging periods of 15mins each. The judging team will ask you to present your project to them, and will ask any questions they have about the project. You will be told when your judging periods will be and you must have your team members there and ready to go at these times. There will be many other students, parents, teachers and special guests viewing the projects, so it is recommended that there is at least one team member at your table throughout the event. Team members are encouraged to view the other projects there on the day. Lunch will be provided for the competitors, and food will be available for purchase for parents and other guests. Tea and coffee will also be available. You may want to bring morning tea or other snacks with you if required. There will be several STEM based hands-on activities running throughout the day to provide extra entertainment for competitors, parents and siblings. 2 pm – Judging finishes There will be a half an hour break for the judges to deliberate. This is a good opportunity for competitors to begin packing up, and to make their way through campus to the Kim Beazley Lecture Theatre 2:30pm – Presentation ceremony begins (Kim Beazley Lecture Theatre) 3:30pm – Event finish and pack up Yours sincerely Ben Currell Committee Chair Event Info Memo v1
