Federationinvites kind attention of the Railway Board to the instructions issued vide Board's letter No. E(P&A)I-2008/SP-1/WS-4dated 0610212009 & 2310412009 wherein SSEs working in the Production Control Organizationshave been grantedPCO Allowance @ 75% of the Basic Pay. Complaints receivedby the Federationreveal that on many Zonal Railways the SSEs working in the Production Control Orgaruzationwho were in receipt of the said PCO Allowance are being denied the payment, citing the reasonsthat they have been grantedGrade Pay 4800/- and 54001-,thereforebecameineligible. NFIR contends that the payment of PCO Allowance is regulated on the basis of the post/designationheld by the employee and not by the Grade PaylPay. Further it needsto be recognizedthat those SSEswho have been grantedGP 4800/- & 54001-under MACPS continue to perform sameduties assignedto them while they were in GP 4600 (PB-2). NFIR, therefore, requests the Railway Board to issle clarification to all Zonal Railways/ProductionUnits to grant PCO Allowance to all SSEs working in the Production Control Organizationsirespective of their Grade Pay.
