HMIS Test Environment Full COC APR TESTING KIT - TH The following documents are included in the APR Testing Kit:

1. There is a separate pdf file for all persons included in the sample set of test data for a CoC Transitional Housing program. This data set has been developed to include the household and program scenarios that have been identified as common problem areas for programmers to code in the APR. There is a file for each primary client and each accompanying household member, as appropriate. The fields contained in the test data are required for the generation of a APR for Transitional Housing based on the March 2010 HMIS Data Standards – Revised Notice. If a field is not included in the test set it is because it is not required to generate the HPRP APR. 2. A CSV export of this same test data set. a. If you have the ability to import a CSV file to test the HPRP APR results programmed into your HMIS system you may do so with this file. b. If you are using your system to export a CSV file for input into the APR Generation Tool you may compare the data in this CSV file to your own export to determine if your CSV file is being generated correctly. 3. A Sample Full CoC APR run on these specific clients from the HMIS Test Environment at The Partnership Center, Ltd. After you import the CSV data set or enter the client files in the sample set of test data, you can compare the results of your system’s APR with the Sample HPRP APR. (date range of report: 1/1/2010 to 12/31/2010) 4. A Sample Full CoC APR run in “detail mode” which allows you to identify which clients are included in each answer in the APR. 5. A Visibility document that indicates which questions are relevant to which types of programs. [Note: The Performance Measures will not be needed for the APR until 2012. Updated information will be provided to you prior to the need for the Performance Measures on the APR.] 6. A word document with all APR questions on it – as they appear in the e-snaps screens.

NOTE: To successfully run a test of your system’s APR you must enter all of the data contained in this test kit. Failure to add some of the clients or household members will generate different APR results and will not enable you to compare your results to the Sample APR contained in this package.
