Seeking Two Positions: Director of Trade and Business Development/ Director of Investor Relations The Israel Economic Mission in New York is seeking a Director for Trade and Business Development and a Director for Investor Relations for two open positions. The Directors will work to strengthen the trade and investment relationship between Israel and the East Coast. They will oversee our activities in targeted economic sectors or investment (VC and PE). Ideal candidates must be able to grasp complex ideas quickly while also being assertive, detail oriented, diligent, and gregarious. About the Israel Economic Mission: The Israel Economic Mission in New York is responsible for enhancing bi-national trade relations between the East Coast and Israeli business communities. The main fields of activity include promoting trade and exports, attracting and encouraging foreign investments and creating strategic cooperation with local companies. By leveraging its networking capacity and industry knowledge in Israel and the East Coast, the Economic Mission is able to seamlessly engage prospective business partners half a world apart. Primary Responsibilities of the roles: Acting as a liaison between public and private economic organizations from the East Coast and Israeli companies. Assisting Israeli exporters in finding resources and contacts needed to enter or expand into the American market. Identifying potential partnerships between Israeli and American companies. Assuming all aspects of business development, including cultivating contacts and following news and/or trends for the particular industrial/technology economic sectors. Cooperating with other organizations, associations, and government offices to plan and oversee events and trade missions. Building a network of professionals to help support international business and trade. Addressing administrative tasks within the office setting. For Investor Relations (the above mentioned with the following focus): Leading our efforts in Venture Capital and Private Equity areas, across various industries (e.g., Cybersecurity, Fintech, Digital Health, etc). Identifying potential investors for Israeli companies, and Israeli companies for American investors Qualifications: Familiarity with the global economic trends and business cultures is a plus. For Business Development: Prior experience in Life Sciences or Cleantech preferred. For Investor Relations: Prior experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity or the technology startup ecosystem is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree/ Multitask in a fast paced and intense work environment. Exceptional English writing and communication skills are a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
