Program Objectives To provide students with strong substance of theoretical knowledge and research in computer science. To provide students with the skills to solve complex computational problems and conduct research in computer science field. To provide students with awareness and knowledge of Social, Ethical, and Professional values relevant to Computer Science Research.
Eligibility 16 years of education in relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks CGPA of 2.0
Selection Criteria Admission Test / NTS GAT (General) – The admission test is exempted for those candidates who cleared NTS GAT with more than 60% marks Interview
Duration This is a 2-year degree program comprising 4 semesters with minimum of 30 Credit hours. There will be a Fall and a Spring semester in each year. The maximum duration to complete MS is 4 years.
Specializations In order for the student to receive MS in Computer Science with specialization, minimum 3 courses in any of the following specialization streams must be taken:

Data Science
Network & Information Security
Software Engineering
Research Thesis In case a student opts for Research thesis than he/she can take total of 8 courses followed by thesis: The thesis is divided into two parts, Part I (3 credit hours.), and Part II (3 credit hours). It is highly recommended that student publish at least one research paper during his/her thesis research in a reputed conference or journal.
Research Project In case a student opts for a Research Project then he/she can take a total of 9 courses followed by Research project of 3 cr. Hrs. Aresearch project is normally a programing solution to research/industry problem.
MS Degree Requirements Completion of 30 credit hours with Thesis with minimum CGPA 2.5 of 4.0.

Center for Research in Ubiquitous Computing (CRUC) The Center for Ubiquitous Computing (CRUC) is hosted at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University. The center’s mission is to conduct research on the next generation of interactive technologies. The scope of the research cuts across Ubiquitous Computing and Human-Computer Interaction, with a distinct focus on application-driven research. Our work spans the development of techniques for modelling human behavior, augmenting physical spaces, and systems engineering to enable ubiquitous applications and services. The Research Center in intended to play an important role in technology transfer and commercialization of Research projects to products and services to the industry and society. Under the umbrella of CRUC, a huge number of publications have been made in National and International recognized Journals and Conferences.
Center for Research in Machine Learning (CRML) Established within the Department of Computer Science at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, the Center for Research in Machine Learning conducts research into the construction and study of systems that can learn from data. The research expertise in the center is focused on deep learning, reasoning and knowledge extraction from Big Data, and the analysis of rich media information including video, audio, multi-modal and spatio-temporal data. Machine learning research spans from theoretical foundations to a broad range of applications including web search, computer vision, and Image Processing.
