Féile Girls Do Themselves Proud! The Na Fianna Camogie players of 2001 played with spirit and pride at last Saturday’s Festival in Skerries. Twenty two under 14's represented the good name and tradition of Na Fianna. All the emotions were encountered as the team played one draw, one defeat and one victory. The margins were small and the side with a tiny modicum of good fortune could have reached the final.
There was wonderful support from parents, family and friends on the day on the sidelines and it was heartwarming to see the hooking, blocking and striking. Each and every girl gave Na Fianna Nuacht 17ú Aibreán 2015

Na Fianna Nuacht their all and can be satisfactorily proud of their performance. Conor McHugh advised the team "to enjoy the occasion" Bernard Dunne reminded all of "the hard work was done in training and when the game starts you perform". This is what happened. It was a treat to witness a 13 year old throw her body across the goal in order to bring off a miracle save. Defenders secured quality possession time after time to clear their lines while the forwards worked like beavers. Every player gave of her very best and made everyone proud. The scene was set at the outset as the team wore their hard earned specially designed hoodies. Music was supplied to cool the nerves, the piper and the singing of Amhrán Na bhFiann was wonderful. The management team was Donal Buggy, Áine Uí Laoire, Peadar Ó Laoire with the help of Colm, Bríd, Conor and Deirdre Lambe. The support and encouragement of Mairtín, Derek, Niall and Ivan was just wonderful and made the occasion all more worthwhile.

All-Weather Pitches The “new” All-Weather pitch located at the Scoil Chatríona end of the Club is a resource reserved exclusively for official team training and games. No unofficial or unsupervised activity whatsoever should take place on this facility. It is in the interest of all Club members to ensure that this ruling is observed as the inevitable wear and tear on the facility will render the pitch unusable over time. Members are advised that all such unofficial activity is prohibited on the new All-weather pitch. Members are also encouraged to ask those taking part in any such activity to leave.
