From the list, choose your 10th, 11th, and 12th grade English courses, then click on “Add selected courses to your draft plan” at the bottom. Since some courses may be offered to students in multiple grades, you will be asked to choose what grade you intend to take a specific course. Choose the grade from the drop-down menu and click “Okay!” Continue to add courses in Social Studies, Math, Science, International Languages, etc. Make sure you are meeting graduation requirements! When you finish adding all your courses, click on Step 3: “Review and Finalize” at the top of the page.

b. College Research SuperMatch College Search – Students can rank their priorities in this search engine, and it's easy to see why a college does or does not match your criteria. Can also compare college statistics side by side. College Match - This tool uses historical gpa and test score information about students from LHS and their college applications to match you with colleges that you may want to consider. Please note that there are many factors that can affect admissions decisions and the results of this search do NOT guarantee in any way whether or not you will be accepted at a particular college. If a particular college never appears in the results, it may be because no one from LHS has applied. College Compare - This tool compares average grade point averages and test scores for accepted students from LHS at up to ten colleges. School averages are displayed in green when your number is higher and in red when your number is lower. The column labeled "Accept" shows the number of students accepted out of the number of students that applied. College Lookup - A simple way to search for a college, by state or name. College Search - Enter information on your college criteria to develop a list of colleges. After you have completed the search, you can compare your choices, or add them to your list of colleges. College Resources – Naviance’s list of useful websites, sorted by category. College Maps - Interested to see where LHS kids go to college? Check out the maps! Scattergrams - This amazing tool allows you to visually see how you compare to LHS students who have applied to a particular college based on your grade point average and ACT or SAT score. Acceptance History - To see how many LHS students have been accepted and then enrolled at all colleges, click on Acceptance History. Enrichment Programs - Students and parents can find information on both summer programs and “gap year” programs here. Upcoming College Visits - College admission representatives visit LHS throughout the school year to meet directly with interested students. To see what colleges have scheduled visits, click on View all upcoming college visits. Students should click on “sign up” next to the college name to register for the visit. Print out the confirmation page and have it signed by the teacher if you are missing class. THIS SIGNATURE MUST BE OBTAINED AT LEAST ONE DAY IN ADVANCE!

c. Scholarships & Money Scholarship Match - Based on information in your profile, your resume, or your game plan, scholarships are matched with your qualifications. The more information you complete in Naviance, the better the matches. Scholarship List - Click here for a complete list of local, community, or state scholarships of which we receive notice. What Are My Interests? Do What You Are - Based on the Myers-Brigg Type Indicator, this personality test asks students to complete questions using real-life situations. Based on their answers, students are assigned a “personality type.” This is an excellent resource for both students and parents, and can help immensely when students say, “I have no idea what I want to do when I grow up.” Cluster Finder - The Cluster Finder will help you learn what career clusters may be a good match for you based on activities that interest you, personal qualities that you have and subjects that you enjoy studying in school. Career Interest Profiler - Students can take an interest inventory that will generate a list of possible career areas that match their interests. Roadtrip Nation Interview Archive – Students can view over 3,500 videos which interview people from all walks of life. Great for career exploration or inspiration.

It may also help match you with local and state scholarship opportunities. The format is so professional-looking, you can use it with potential employers as well! Game Plan - This series of questions is designed to help your counselor work with you to develop a game plan for achieving your goals after graduation. Once you have finished answering these questions, click the I am finished button. You can update your answers to these questions at any time even after you indicate that you are finished, and your answers are not shared with anyone other than your counselor.
