No : 36/2016 All Members, Introduction of new series - LS In pursuance of the clause 2.6 of Part A of Regulations for the Capital Market Segment of the Exchange, and without prejudice to the applicable provisions of Securities Contracts (Regulations) Act (SCRA), 1956 and other statutes, rules, notifications, guidelines etc., the Exchange hereby notifies that a new ‘Market Type’ as defined under Regulation 1.3.9 of Part A of Regulations for the Capital Market has been introduced on the trading system of the Exchange under the series type ‘LS’. ‘LS’ series shall be made eligible for executing trades under the criteria as laid down by SEBI in its circular CIR/MRD/DSA/01/2016 dated January 01, 2016, regarding “Procedures for ensuring compliance with Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations) Regulations, 2012 (SECC Regulations) by Listed Stock Exchanges”. The norms, trading rules and other details are provided in Annexure-1. The settlement procedure and details shall be intimated separately by NSCCL.

Annexure 1 Segment Market Type Eligible security

Series Base Price & Price Bands

Eligible Participants

Capital Market Segment Normal (N) As notified by the Exchange from time to time based on intimation received from Depositories LS The base price and the price bands applicable for the securities trading in the LS series shall be the same as those applicable for the corresponding normal market series on that day. Trading members shall be allowed to enter sell orders in this market segment only for entity (ies) as notified by the Depositories from time to time. However, trading members can enter buy orders on behalf of any entity (ies) other than those notified by Depositories at that point in time.

Other provisions All other provisions like Minimum Order Size, Book Type, Order Type, Order Matching, Tick Size, etc applicable to Normal market shall also be applicable mutatis-mutandis to this market.
