East Burke Prom 2017 DATE/TIME: Saturday, May 13th at Hickory Metro Center from 8:00 PM to Midnight

TICKETS/ELIGIBILITY: Tickets cost $40 for EBHS Juniors & Seniors and $45 for guests. Tickets will be sold Monday, April 24th through Friday, May 5th in room 313 during all 4 lunches and before/after school. Juniors and Seniors can purchase tickets for themselves and one guest. Guests’ ages will be restricted according to the following rules: At minimum, guests must be at least Freshmen (any high school is fine); at maximum, guests must not be older than 20 years old. Any guests who are not in the Junior/Senior Class at EBHS must be approved before tickets are purchased, this includes Freshmen and Sophomores who attend EBHS. Forms are available at the front desk in the office and should be turned into Mrs. Fortenberry prior to April 28th. Students must be in attendance all day on Friday, May 12th to be eligible to attend Prom on May 13th. Students with any days of OSS or more than 3 days of ISS will lose Prom privileges and will not be allowed to purchase a ticket. Also, students with outstanding fees will not be allowed to purchase a ticket until they are paid in full.

THEME/PROPER ATTIRE: The theme this year is “A Night in Neverland”. The primary decorating colors are earth tones. Prom is a formal event and formal attire is required. Clothing should be tasteful, appropriate for a high school function, and not excessively revealing.

ENTRY TO PROM: Students will be required to check in upon arrival and show a photo ID in order to be admitted to Prom. No one will be admitted who has consumed alcohol (even persons who are of legal drinking age) – this is a high school event! If any individual leaves the building, they will not be allowed to return.

KING/QUEEN: We will have the annual crowning of Prom King and Queen at 11 p.m. on Prom night. Any Senior attending the Prom is eligible. EBHS Juniors and Seniors will vote at the Prom. Voting will close at 10 p.m. in order to have time to tally votes.
