Walk N’ Roll Wednesdays: Reducing Stocklmeir Traffic Walk n' Roll Wednesdays have started this month. Families are encouraged to carpool, walk or ride bikes/scooters to school in a bid to reduce traffic, keep healthy and help the environment by reducing our carbon footprint. Volunteers hand out stickers and cheer children on for participating. Parents can drop kids off at an alternative drop-off, on Inverness between Crow Court and Canary Drive. A team of volunteers will be on hand to make sure your child crosses Ortega Park successfully and gets on to campus safely. We need your help to make this program a success. Volunteers are needed at various points around campus between 8:00 – 8:40 am. Contact Shalini Pandey at
[email protected] or you can sign up to volunteer at -http://vols.pt/i6A44D. Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something… Thank you for participating!
Letter from the President Hello Stocklmeir Families, Thank you to all the families and individuals who have generously supported our PTA so far this year. We are so excited to say that our membership has increased to nearly 600 members. This is wonderful endorsement from you for our PTA and our activities. We wanted to take this opportunity to give you some information on how your donations have been spent to date. The biggest amount, which is approximately $68,000, has been donated to the Cupertino Union School District to cover the salaries of our music and art teachers. We have also contributed to the salaries of the Librarian and the two upper grade instructional aides. Your donations have also been used to fund other activities this year, such as Panda Folders, Teacher Grants and Running Club. We have also used a small part of your donations to fund exciting and enriching family evenings such as Craft Night, Movie Night and Winter Wonderland. In this season of giving, we would like to encourage our families who have not donated yet to make a donation. And please remember as Stocklmeir PTA is a registered non-profit organization, your donation is tax deductible. Donations can be made by check using the envelope is the front office (or in your panda folder this week) or by credit card at stocklmeirpta.org.
If your donation reaches us before the end of the year, it is eligible for a TAX DEDUCTION on your 2015 tax return. Please donate at stocklmeirpta.org We ask you for a suggested donation of $250 per student. We have worked hard to keep this suggested donation as low as possible and this amount is lower than many other local schools. If this amount is more than you can afford, any amount you are comfortable with is appreciated. Please note that $10 of every donation is applied towards PTA membership, which allows you to vote at PTA General Association meetings, where important information is shared regarding the school community. Many employers provide matching funds for donations to schools. Corporate Matching is an important element in our funding. If you have donated already, or are about to donate, please ensure that you let your company know. Further information on corporate matching programs is in the PTA Handbook and on our website. We cannot stress enough the difference your support makes to our children and our school. We sincerely thank you for your generosity! Yours in Panda Pride Saran
