WELCOME TO THE WINTER 2016 STONEWALL DODGEBALL CHARLOTTE SEASON 

Dates/Times. This season, there will be two divisions of Stonewall Dodgeball Charlotte. Both Divisions will play on Sundays between 1:00PM and 5:00PM. o Games will be at 1PM – 1:40PM / 2PM – 2:40PM / 3PM – 340PM & 4PM – 4:40PM



Facility. We are very happy to announce that we have reserved Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church Gymnasium located at 1117 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203. Please remember: no alcohol, no smoking, and no profanity on premises. There will be plenty of time to get your drink on at the after game host bar.



League Description. Stonewall Dodgeball Charlotte will have 2 Divisions, comprised of 6 teams on each Division. Divisions will be decided after teams are full. Each team will need to have a minimum of 12 players, with a maximum of 15.



After Game Activities. The Bar at 316 has graciously agreed to be our “Home Sponsor” for the winter season. After the matches, we will head to 316 to enjoy in team antics and celebration…otherwise known as Stonewall Sports Sunday Funday.



Fundraising. Monies raised throughout the Stonewall Dodgeball Charlotte season will be distributed back into the community to local 501c3’s. (Winning teams in each division will also be given the opportunity to pick a charity of their choice to receive a donation at the end of the Winter season – more details to come).  Stonewall Dodgeball Charlotte will host fundraising events throughout the course of the season. Each team is expected to contribute one player to help plan and execute the events.  At each League Special Event held throughout the season, teams can earn points by “checking in” at each event – 1 point for each individual who “checks in” for that team (this includes players, guests and friends). At the end of the season, a Miss Congeniality Award (MCA) will be given for the team with the most participation at our social and fundraising events!



Registration Cost. $40 per player, which includes your Stonewall Dodgeball Charlotte T-Shirt (see registration information section below)



Registration Information. Registration for the Winter 2016 league will begin Monday, November 23, 2015 for all players and closes on Sunday, December 20, 2015.



A team is formed when 12 players register and pay. Each team may have up to 15 players. Any teams that have not met the required 12 registered players when registration closes will revert to free agents and will be assigned to the formed teams. We will do our best to keep groups together.



Captains – If you plan on being the captain of a team, you will need to register first and then have players register under your team name.



Players – o I plan to create a team: If you plan to create a team you will need to register as a team captain (see above). Then you can tell your friends to register as a team player and join your team. To become one of the official new teams, you must register 12 players o I plan to join a team: If you already know with which team you are going to play on, you will need to register as a team player. Keep in mind that you can’t randomly join any team; captains may ask that a player be removed from their team prior to the close of registration. Captains can email [email protected] to move a player from their team but, only after the captain has communicated with the player first and explained why. o I want to play but I don’t have a team: That’s fantastic! This league is about making new friends! Register as a Free Agent. We will host a FREE AGENT SOCIAL (see schedule below) where you can meet the players, teams and captains and find the team that you might like to join. At the social you may request to be placed on a team.


